Smarter Society has recently completed administering an ARG funded project for 100 SME businesses on behalf of the Three Rivers District Council. Our involvement was that Businesses were been invited to apply for grants up to the value of £7K to improve their sustainability and low carbon footprint. To assist the businesses with the transition, thinking and strategy towards being low carbon our team of expert mentors have been running 1-2-1 sessions developing ideas and means to make a difference.

The London Borough of Hounslow selected Smarter Society to administer and distribute grants as part of their ARG post Covid rejuvenation of Hounslow. SME businesses that had suffered through the pandemic had the opportunity to apply for grants between £1K and £7K. For the 2022 programme Smarter Society delivered a webinar to help applicants with the process and to encourage maximum participation. Using the Smarter Society grant management system over 300 applications were processed, analysed, awarded, and subsequently distributed to participants. Smarter Society were responsible for developing the scoring matrix, communicating with all the participants and sign posting them to potential local suppliers. The participants were directed to additional business mentoring to support their businesses and to maximise the usage of the grants from Smarter Society.
Visit Kent Grant administration and mentoring 2020-22

Smarter Society was commissioned by Visit Kent to administer a major grants programme to support tourism businesses in the post Covid recovery plan for the organisation. The scheme involved creating a system to administrate the grants, scoring matrix, communication structure with applicants and Visit Kent as well as sign posting to the additional services. There have been over 200 applications so far for grants between the value of £1K and £10K to help create new tourism products and to boost the development of the Kent tourism proposition.
